A calm setting, designed for rest

Wellness begins with the place itself. Villa Yemna sits within a one-hectare park facing the summits of the Atlas, far from the bustle of the medina. Mature gardens, an olive grove, a rose garden and date palms shape pockets of quiet where everyone finds their own corner: a covered terrace to read, a stretch of lawn for morning yoga, a sun lounger in the shade for doing nothing at all.

The total seclusion of the estate, with no overlooking neighbours and no passing traffic, creates the conditions for a real disconnection. Rare so close to a major city, the villa sits under no flight path: the silence stays whole, from first light to the starry night. That calm is the first treatment you give yourself here.

Total privacy, with no overlooking neighbours and no through traffic

Saltwater pool, sauna and Pilates to care for yourself

At the heart of the estate, the 21-metre saltwater pool invites slow morning lengths and long evenings spent at the water’s edge (its full dimensions are 21 m by 4.5 m by 1.5 m). Treated with salt rather than chlorine, the water is gentler on the skin, and heating on request (£80 per day) lets you enjoy it even in winter.

For the body, a private sauna offers a genuine moment of release after exertion or at the close of the day. The fitness room, equipped with a Pilates Reformer, a rower, free weights and a punching bag, supports gentle routines as readily as more demanding sessions. Everything stays private, reserved for your group alone, with no fixed schedule. Hammam rituals can also be arranged on request.

A fully private space for a small group on retreat

Villa Yemna is rented in its entirety, which makes it well suited to small-group retreats. With 8 bedrooms and 16 beds spread across a 300 m² main riad and four independent suites, the villa welcomes a circle of friends, an extended family or a group united around the same practice.

Each 60 m² suite has its own Atlas-facing terrace, ideal for morning meditation or for turning in early away from the group. There is no television, by design; a 4K projector remains available for an evening screening, and high-speed fibre keeps a light link with the outside world.

Healthy eating, from the estate to the plate

A retreat extends all the way to the table, and Villa Yemna grows part of what it serves. The estate produces its own olive oil from its 80 olive trees, along with dates, honey, eggs from our own hens, and seasonal fruit and vegetables. On request, the cooks prepare Moroccan menus built around these ingredients, at around £30 per person per meal, for cooking that is simple, fresh and rooted in its terroir. A private chef can also be arranged on quotation.

This light, seasonal table sits naturally alongside a stay turned towards rest. Breakfast, included each morning, is taken in calm, facing the park, before a yoga session or a first swim.

Bedrooms that invite deep rest

Sleep matters as much as activity in a successful retreat. The four independent 60 m² suites, with their private terraces turned towards the Atlas, offer a cocoon set apart from the group, ideal for early nights and sunrise mornings. The main riad gathers the remaining bedrooms around its central courtyard.

The villa has chosen to do without television, in favour of silence and reading. No overlooking neighbours, no passing traffic: the one-hectare estate protects a rare calm, the first condition of true disconnection. The villa also sits under no flight path, which keeps the quiet intact.

The rhythm of a true pause

A retreat draws its strength from the gentle regularity of its days. At Villa Yemna, the morning often begins with a yoga session on the lawn or on a suite terrace, followed by a few lengths in the still, early saltwater pool. Breakfast, included, is taken facing the park, without hurry.

The afternoon gives way to rest: reading in the shade of the olive trees, a sauna, a nap, or simply contemplating the peaks of the Atlas. On request, the cooks prepare a light lunch from estate produce. In the evening, the fire pit draws the group together under the stars, far from screens and noise. This rhythm, free yet framed, is exactly what a successful retreat looks for: time for yourself, in a setting that asks nothing of you in terms of organisation.
